Hi, I'm Peon! I'm an architectural apprentice by day, and a digital fan artist by night from the Philippines, and I LOVE postcards. I'm the creator of Snail Mail Club: Peak Post all about landscape sceneries. Every month, little pieces of life finds its way to you in the form of a postcard, a letter, and a mystery art piece!Back in 2016, I had the opportunity to mail myself a postcard from the US. My cousin who had asked for a souvenir didn't request for anything but a 50 cent postcard to be mailed back, and for some reason she wanted it mailed not to her, but to me. Fate tells me that I guess it was supposed to work out that way. There's something endearing about rereading that small fragment of the past from the future. The postcard and its art makes it even more memorable, adding a little context of its own. Ever since then, whenever I can, I try to make time for a trip down to the post office during my travels with a short note for my future self written on a cheap postcard in my hand.Through this snail mail club, I hope to share the wonders of a slow-paced space that exists in post, and build a monthly routine filled with sweet moments that remind us of the simple joys of life.
